CEREC and Traditional Crowns
Enjoy a more attractive smile with precision dental crowns
A dental crown is a permanent covering that fits over an original tooth that is damaged or cracked, but still salvageable. Dental crowns can be made of a variety of different materials such as porcelain, gold, acrylic resin or a mix of these materials. Porcelain generally has the most natural appearance and is most popular, although it can be somewhat less durable than porcelain over metal or other materials.
CERECĀ® or traditional dental crowns: what’s the difference?
With traditional dental crowns, the process typically consists of a minimum of two or three visits over a three- to four-week period. But, thanks to advanced CEREC technology, we can now create precision-crafted custom dental crowns in a single visit. With CEREC, there’s no need to take impressions, and no need for temporary dental crowns. You can have beautiful dental crowns the same day. With proper care, your CEREC or traditional dental crowns can last a lifetime.
Dr. Anthony Boe is a skilled, experienced restorative and cosmetic dentist who has created thousands of custom-crafted dental crowns for your friends and neighbors in the Long Lake, MN area.
